Clemson 15 Michigan State 2
MSU's Jeff Holm and Seth Williams accounted for all the scoring by each hitting solo homers. The Spartans mustered only three other hits. Wilson Boyd homered and drove in three for Clemson. The Tigers' leadoff man, Brad Miller, had two hits and walked four times. Justin Sarratt got the win.
Indiana 18 Morehead State 3
The Hoosiers belted nine homers. The outburst was led by All-America Josh Phegley who was 5 for 5 with three homers, four runs scored and six RBI. Jerrud Sabourin had three hits including his first longball of 2009. Jake Dunning drove in four (and, yes, homered). Chris Squires, who has spent a fair amount of time coming out of the IU bullpen, started and worked six inning giving up five hits, two walks and three earned runs. Squires posted the victory.
I've got nothing as of yet on Penn State's game with Florida Gulf Coast.
