Iowa beat Minnesota, 8-7. Caleb Curry had three hits and three RBI to pace Iowa's offense. Dusty Napoleon had a pair of hits, scored twice and had a RBI. Nick Erdman picked up win number three. Mike Schurz claimed save number six. Tijl Vanderwege homered and had three RBI for Minnesota, who won the series. Nate Hanson and Kyle Baran had three hits a piece for the Gophers.
Penn State took the series from Michigan State by winning today, 10-4. PSU's Rick Marlin had five RBIs, two hits and scored twice. Brian Ernst and Joe Blackburn had three hits each. Scott Kelley had two hits and three RBI. Paul Hawkins grabbed the win in relief of Scott Gaffney. Matt Ogrodnik posted the save. Kyle Day had three hits for MSU.
