Last week ten players had an on-base plus slugging percentage above 1.000. This week? Six. That number is going in the wrong direction. Regardless, let's get a look at the half dozen that did make this week's list.
Our new OPS leader is Northwestern's Jake Goebbert at 1.233. In second place is last week's leader, Nate Recknagel of Michigan. Recknagel's OPS is at 1.188. Mike Kalina of Northwestern had his OPS stay the same at 1.151. Josh Phegley of Indiana slides into the fourth spot with an OPS of 1.123. Minnesota's Jeff DeSmidt checks in next at 1.104. Rounding out the top six is IU's Kipp Schutz, the only newcomer to the OPS countdown, at 1.019.
