It's midweek and anything can happen in these midweek affairs. Case in point, Central Michigan dropped Michigan, 7-3, this afternoon. Michigan's potent offense was held to six hits, the Wolverines trotted out five pitchers, four of whom yielded a run or more and Coach Maloney's side committed three errors. You can package this one up any way you'd like and it's still a bad loss.
Indiana beat Miami, Ohio, 5-2. Doug Fleenor's six innings of one-hit work got him the win. Chris Squires recorded his third save. David Trager had two hits, Jerrud Sabourin scored twice.
Michigan State beat Eastern Michigan, 5-3. Dennis Jones and Eric Roof both went yard for the Spartans. Jones and Steve Gerstenberger both had mutliple hit games. Kyle Day drove in two for MSU. A.J. Dunn's one inning of middle relief was good enough to earn the win. Nolan Moody posted his third save fanning two of the four batters he faced.
Illinois State topped Iowa, 7-6. ISU's Kyle Cherney homered twice to lead the attack. Cherney collected three hits, three runs and three RBI. Kevin Hoef, Justin Toole and Kurtis Muller all had two hits apiece. Toole and Muller also had two RBI.
All other action is in progress.

Bucks win 13-0. 3rd shut out in 5 games.
Nice to see Gerts from MSU is starting to get it going. Had a rough start coming back from a separated shoulder, but seems to be playing well. Him and Day are going to be huge if Sparty wants to finish in the top 6.
