The chase to be named college baseball's top closer includes three Big Ten Conference pitchers. Ohio State's Trey Fausnaugh, Michigan's Derek Feldkamp and Minnesota's John Gaub were all put on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's pre-season watch list. The Big Ten tied for the most nominees by any conference.
For the first time ever, the organization will be providing an award, the NCBWA Stopper of the Year, to the nation's top relief pitcher in Division I baseball. BTH congratulates all the nominees.
