They have unreal talent. won 27-6 vs. MSU today.Vanbuskirk had 3 HR and 9 RBI today.Wow

Bucks split with Purdue today. OSU won game 1, 8-4 and lost game 2. 7-5. Purdue is for real with Black and White.Their closer Lindblom is a stud and throws hard. White is a great ball player and kills OSU all the time.Too bad they don't play Michigan.

Purdue is 12-4 in Conference. First Purdue series win vs. OSU since 1987.They host the Gophers next weekend.BaseballBucks33https://www.blogger.com/profile/06113078789350330280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10198027.post-69082676320570773532008-04-20T16:19:00.000-04:002008-04-20T16:19:00.000-04:00I turned on the internet radio:Michigan 27 runs on...I turned on the internet radio:

Michigan 27 runs on 28 hits.

I turned off the internet radio.formerlyanonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01506019127884789894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10198027.post-58415981104367080532008-04-19T20:34:00.000-04:002008-04-19T20:34:00.000-04:00good to know. as long as they're not scanning id's...good to know. as long as they're not scanning id's i'm golden. as a no longer student i'd hate to have to pay to see a game. [/sarcasm]

I was kind of surprised they do charge $2 for students at Penn State. Kids under 6 I think was $1. I think the $3 20oz bottles were by far the biggest rip off. That or the $150 State College Spikers jerseys. You can get a vest, or you can get a sweet gold jersey (sleeves come free apparently).formerlyanonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01506019127884789894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10198027.post-5716577138370334842008-04-19T20:15:00.000-04:002008-04-19T20:15:00.000-04:00Actually, the way they are working it now is show ...Actually, the way they are working it now is show your MCard at the ticket window and get a yellow ticket, so I am guessing that it's total ticket count, including those (like me, a staffer) who show MCards and my son, who is under five and hence free.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07728723086171641971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10198027.post-64348435668914538832008-04-19T20:08:00.000-04:002008-04-19T20:08:00.000-04:00The best part of the Michigan crowd number is paid...The best part of the Michigan crowd number is paid attendance only. Students get in free by flashing their ID. I don't believe they count in the numbers. So there may be an extra 50-100 people showing up to some of the games (probably a high estimate, but possible).

I made it out to game 1 of the PSU/IU game. Both pitchers went the full 7/6.5. Every break seemed to go in Penn State's favor. If they hit and run, it always worked. They sac bunted to move runners to 2nd and 3rd, there's a pass ball 2 pitches later to score a run. Indiana had two plays where their players went full extension (2b over the head right infront of the cf, and cf at the warning track) which both fell out of their gloves on impact. Even when PSU hit grounders for potential inning ending double plays, they were too slow of rollers and Indiana had to settle for the force at second. I think that happened twice. Hell, Penn State went to fake bunt, fouled off the first pitch swinging, pulled back but didnt swing for a called strike, in a hole 0-2, Indiana's pitcher drills him in the back on the next pitch to load the bases with no outs.

Hervey was getting a good razz from all the Penn State faithful. I don't know what he did but he seemed like public enemy number one. He had a anti-fan club of three guys down the left field line, and a group of 10-20 right by first base. It being Blue-White weekend, most of the "verbal" fans had been drinking for a few hours before the game.

Phegley didn't do much. I don't think he even reached base, but I could be mistaken.formerlyanonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01506019127884789894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10198027.post-63038865871148510142008-04-19T18:04:00.000-04:002008-04-19T18:04:00.000-04:00That one ended 10-4.
