Texas-Arlington defeated Northwestern 11-3 this afternoon. After posting the team's first victory of 2005 last week, Evan Blesoff took the loss for the Wildcats today. NU freshman outfielder Max Mann, in his first game after being named the conference's player of the week, led the Wildcats offense with two more hits.
Saturday, the Wildcats (1-1) will take on Arkansas State (4-1). NU will close out the UTA Invitational with their second meeting of the year versus Kansas State (0-3).
